Mission Statement

In realization of the need to create a more effective school, the mission of Sweeny High School is to provide an educational environment in which all faculty and staff work to their full potential to develop all students academically, personally, physically, and socially.  The inherent purpose of this mission is that all students will become responsible citizens and contributing members of society.

iPad Distribution Information for 18-19 School Year

Parents and students must complete TWO steps before an iPad can be issued.

1. Electronically sign the parent/student contract.  A link for the electronic signature is at the BOTTOM of the last page of the contract.

2017 - 2018 SHS Bell Schedule

Why did the bell schedule change?

• Reduce traffic congestion on Elm St by staggering HS and JH releases
• Reduce the amount of time elementary students are on buses
• Increase instructional time for UIL participants and coaches that must travel
• Increase collaborative opportunities for SISD teachers
• Increase time available to serve breakfast at elementary campus
